There is an old windmill on North Main Street on Conanicut Island (also known as Jamestown.) Another windmill is in a small park in Middletown on Paradise Avenue at the intersection of Prospect Avenue, south of Green End Avenue.
The Cliff Walk in Newport is an excellent place to photograph some of the mansions as well as the ocean waves breaking against the rocky shoreline.
Fort Wetherill south of the town of Jamestown.
Little Compton is very scenic as well. You might want to visit Wilbour Woods Park off Swamp Road and the old Wilbur House, barn and grounds, 548 West Main Road (Route 77).
